Homilycast #261: September 7, Friday of the XXII week in Ordinary time, year II

Here is my homily for today, recorded during the 9:00AM Mass at St. Joachim’s in Rockport.

You can hear all of my “homilycasts” by copying this URL:

https://advenus.wordpress.com/category/podcast-2/feed/

and adding it to your favorite podcast client software. For instance, in iTunes, you would click on the “Advanced” menu at the top of the screen and pick the second option, “Subscribe to podcast…” That makes a window pop up where you can paste the address I list above. You then click “OK”, and – depending on your default settings – you will get each new “homilycast” automatically!

I found your homily on this reading very interesting.I never thought that we should not judge ourselves. This was the first time I ever heard that interpretation of this scripture.I think it is true that we usually judge ourselves very harshly. It is a very freeing thought that we can leave that judgement up to God! It also must show total trust in God’s Mercy and Love for us if we can leave that up to Him alone! I hope I can learn to not judge any person or even myself.May God alone be praised!
