Letchworth State Park, “The Grand Canyon of the East”

Another oldie-but-goodie photo from my archives, taken in upstate New York. Letchworth state park is fantastic! Besides views like this, it has three beautiful waterfalls. I posted a photo of one not too long ago.

Random personal anecdote: I believe that the first time I visited here (about five or six years ago), I was listening to the audio book of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. As a consequence, every time I drive through this park I remember that book – especially the scene towards the end where Harry fights Voldemort. Funny how mental associations are made, and how strongly they can stick…
